    MESSAGE

Jim's advocacy for school redesign is based on grounding education practice in the fundamentals of classical education while incorporating contemporary technologies and projects that place students in the role of leading through innovation. The same is true for his approach to change in industry, government, and military organizations--design is the key to innovation and we are all responsible for creativity!

Created by Alan Lynch's STEM+ARTS Students, 2006, Orlando Tech, Florida.

Jim is an early advocate for STEM education with a twist: Jim advocates integration of STEM, arts, humanities, and Career and Technical Education (CTE) to sustain national competitiveness and security. His "virtual Sputnik" moment garnered national attention among education leaders based on an essay he wrote for the National School Board Association, in April 2008, titled "The Bellwether Sounds". In 2013, he authored a jounal article titled STEM 2.0, that is intended to redefine the STEM education and policy landscape. Typical speech titles include:

    • Innovation Nation: Technology, Jobs and Economic Development Strategies
    • The Future is Here: Connecting STEM, College and Career Readiness, and Common Core
    • STEM 2.0: Transformational Thinking About STEM for Industry, Education, Workforce, and Economic Development Professionals
    • Super Systems: The Role of Education, Workforce, and Economic Development Collaboration in U.S. Competitiveness
    • How the Future Works: Understanding What's Next and What You Can Do About It

Jim is an alumnus of the Bradley University Speech Team Dynasty--the winningest speech team is U.S. academic history. All of Jim's speeches are custom taking into account your organizational and audience needs. His speech repertoire includes keynotes speeches, large group interactive keynotes for (audiences up to 3000 people), and Next Level Workshops (audiences from 18 to 250 people). Audiences describe his programs as motivational, informative, humours, inspirational, demonstrative, and sometimes terrifying!
